Driving Lessons in Kent, WA

Kent is one of our largest service areas, covering East Hill, the downtown Kent Station district, and the valley floor. Seattle One instructors bring the same law-enforcement-grounded curriculum that South King County families have trusted since 2008, with pick-up available across the city.

How We Train in Kent

Kent's geography builds versatile drivers. The valley's wide industrial grid — quiet on weekends — is ideal for early maneuvering practice, while Kent Station's compact downtown teaches signal discipline and pedestrian awareness. East Hill's Kent-Kangley Road and 104th Ave SE corridors add multi-lane arterial skills, and SR-167 delivers ramp-meter merging and genuine highway speed management before students face I-5.

Roads We Practice On

Instructor's note: The valley's weekend-quiet industrial streets are a Kent-specific advantage — full-width roads with almost no traffic, perfect for early lessons.

ZIP codes served: 98030, 98031, 98032, 98042

Kent Questions

Do you offer pick-up in Kent East Hill?

Yes — East Hill, downtown Kent, the West Hill, and valley neighborhoods are all within our pick-up zone for most packages. Lessons can also begin at our Burien office, about 18 minutes away via SR-516 or SR-167/518.

Which highways will Kent students practice on?

SR-167 is Kent's home freeway and our primary training corridor here — ramp meters, HOV lanes, and truck traffic build real merge judgment. Advanced students also run I-5 and SR-516 segments before their skills test.

How long does teen driver's ed take for Kent students?

The DOL-required program is 30 classroom hours (online, self-paced) plus 6 hours behind the wheel. Most Kent students finish in 4–6 weeks; state rules require completing everything within 120 days with drives spaced at least 5 days apart.
